Green Gas Grid Injection

Project Description

Water company Waternet is responsible for the supply of drinking water and treatment of sewage in Amsterdam and surrounding areas. One of the existing sewage treatment plants, is enhanced with a biogas upgrade plant to produce Green Gas. Annually, this Biogas Upgrading System will upgrade 14,7 million m3 raw biogas into 9,7 million m3 upgraded biomethane, which will be injected into the national gas grid and supplied to renewable natural gas fuel stations in Amsterdam.

DMT Environmental Technology is responsible for the supply and 10-year operation of the biogas upgrade installation. CSH delivered two large oil injected rotary screw compressor packages, which we installed in DMT’s biogas upgrade enclosures.
